The Plainview City Council met on March 13, 2009 at 12:00 noon in the City Council
Chambers of the Plainview City Hall at 901 Broadway. The agenda for this meeting
was posted in City Hall at 11:55 a.m. on March 10, 2009. Mayor John C. Anderson
presided. Councilmembers present were: Kelvin Tipton-District 1, Cathy Waggoner-
District 2, John N. Bertsch-District 4, Ron Trusler-District 5, and Roland Nash-District 7.
Councilmembers Belinda Pena-District 3 and Wendell Dunlap-District 6 were absent.
Staff members present were: Greg Ingham-City Manager, Mike Gilliland-Director of
Public Works, Leslie Pearce-City Attorney, Will Mull-Police Chief, Dale Simpson-
Director of Civil Service, Rusty Powers-Fire Chief, Delwin Derrick-Chief Building Official,
Jack Keller-Budget Manager and Belinda Hinojosa-City Secretary.
Guests Present: John Baker
Mike Gilliland, Director of Public Works presented for consideration and to take
necessary action regarding request of Mark and Robin McClanahan for a final re-plat,
of a part of Block 43 Lakeside Addition to Daffern Subdivision Lot 1, City of Plainview,
Hale County, Texas. This re-plat will allow the construction of a Medical Clinic Facility.
The street address for the 4.26 acre tract shall be 1806 Quincy Street. He stated this
was presented to the Planning and Zoning Commission on Thursday night. He stated
that it meets the requirements for the final plat. We have received all documents and
the City Attorney has verified such. Staff recommended approval to the Planning and
Zoning Commission that it be approved in final form. The Planning and Zoning
Commission approved unanimously.
Mayor Anderson asked for public comment. There was no public comment.
Councilmember Trusler moved to approve the final re-plat. The motion was duly
seconded by Councilmember Tipton and carried by unanimous vote.
There being no further business, Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting at 12:05 noon.
