HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-05-1962 Board of Health MinutesOctober 1962 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in a regular luncheon meeting in the Hilton Hotel, October 5, 1962, Chairman Blair presiding. Dr. Marshall submitted a budge t in the amount of 35,316.00 for the operation of the Health Unit for the coming year. Motion for approval of the budget was made by Dr. Freeman..second by Oliver Harmel,. motion carried. Board members approved June 1st to June 1st as fiscal year for the Health unit Chairman Blair presented bills for September. Joe Mayo moved bills be approved for payment..second Dr. Freeman..motion carried. Hardy Shelby suggested that a daily car milage report of unit vehicles be kept over a Jperiod of thee months to determine accuracy of car expense allowance. Dr. Marshall concurred. Dr. Freeman made the following motion: 1. Allow the city of Plainview to be the dispersing agency and furnish the Health Board with monthly state- ment of expenditures. 2. That director of the health unit and employees c orae under the same withholding social security, retirement, insurance, liability etc, as is presently used by the city. 3. That no restrictions be placed of the director by this motion, to handle expenditures as he sees fit, within the framework of the budget, 4. That all bills be approved for payment first by the director and then by the Board at regular monthly meetings. 5. That any unusual expenditures be first approved by the Health Board. 6. After all bills have been approved and jpaid at the end of each month, the County will be given a statement of their half of the expenditures, for which the City of Plainview will be reimbursed by the county.
