The City Council met on Friday, June 26, 2009 at the Plainview City Hall, 901
Broadway, Plainview, Texas. The agenda for this meeting was posted in City
Hall at 2:45 p.m. June 22, 2009. Mayor John C. Anderson presided.
Councilmembers present were: Kelvin Tipton-District 1, Cathy Waggoner-District
2, Belinda Pena- District 3, John N. Bertsch-District 4, Wendell Dunlap-District 6,
and Roland Nash-District 7. Councilmember Ron Truster-District 5, was absent.
Staff members present were: Greg Ingham-City Manager, Leslie Spear Pearce-
City Attorney, Dale Simpson-Director of Civil Service, Mike Gilliland-Director of
Public Works, Eric Turner-Main Street Coordinator, Katherine Egger-Deputy City
Secretary.

Mayor Anderson called the meeting to order at 7:00 a.m.
Mayor Anderson delivered the Invocation.
Mayor Anderson made the motion to recess into closed session to consult with
attorney on pending or contemplated litigation or settlement of same in
accordance with Tex. Gov't Code, Section 551.071 (Peanut Corporation of
America). Councilmember Kelvin Tipton seconded the motion. The vote was 7 in
favor to recess into closed session. The Mayor recessed the open meeting at
7:02 a.m.
The Open Session reconvened at 7:27 a.m. to consider and take necessary
action regarding Peanut Corporation of America. There was no public comment.
Mayor Anderson made the motion to approve the resolution concerning the
Peanut Corporation of America matter discussed in closed session.
Councilmember Wendell Dunlap seconded the motion. The vote was 7 in favor,
0 against.
Mayor Anderson stated that by General Consent, the meeting was adjourned at
7:30 a.m.
