ORDINANCE NO. 94-3024
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS,
AMENDING CHAPTER FIVE TO CHANGE ALL
REFERENCES TO DIRECTOR OF POLICE SERVICES TO
DIRECTOR OF HEALTH DEPARTMENT; SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS
CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, currently the supervision of the Animal Control Officers is vested with the
director of police services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, has determined that it would
be in the best interest of the citizens of Plainview to move the supervision of the animal
control officers to the Director of the Plainview-Hale County Health Department;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Plainview,
Texas that:
SECTION I.
Chapter 5, Animals and Fowl, of the Plainview Code of Ordinance is hereby amended as
follows:
Every reference to director of police services is hereby amended to read, "Director of
Plainview-Hale County Health Department:~:~:~:~:~:~:::::~:..~::':'::-":':*~ ..... ........... ยท e~::~es~.e~'" ............................................. :,~:~,~:.....:.,:~:~::..~:::::~::':':::':':'~'.
SECTION II.
The provisions of this ordinance are intended to be severable. Should any phrase, clause,
sentence, subsection or section hereof be found to be unconstitutional or invalid for any reason,
such portion shall be severed without effect on the remainder of this ordinance.
SECTION IH.
Provisions of this ordinance are cumulative and nothing herein shall prevent, alter or diminish
the applicability or enforcement of other ordinances restricting, regulating or governing the
subject matter.
SECTION IV.
All ordinances or portions of any ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in conflict

SECTION V.
This ordinance shall become and be effective immediately.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, on this 13th
of December, 1994.
