SEWER RATE/MAXIMUM GALLONS
ORDINANCE NO. 95-3059
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS,
AMENDING SECTION 24-45 (a)(1), ARTICLE II, CHAPTER
24 OF THE PLAINVIEW CITY CODE; AMENDING THE
MAXIMUM NUMBER OF GALLONS TO BE BILLED FOR
SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL USE; SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE; CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS
CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS:
SECTION I:
Section 24-45 (a)(1), of ARTICLE II, CHAPTER 24 of the Plainview City Code be
amended to read as follows:
Section 24,45. Monthly Sew~r~.Rates.
For the furnishing of sewer service and sewer connections by the City, the following
schedule is hereby established as the monthly rates to be charges:
(a) Residential Rates:
(1) Single Family Dwellings, $6.00 minimum plus $.44 per one thousand gallons.
The monthly charge for the use of sewer shall be calculated on the basis of water meter
readings for the months for which said charge is made.
A maximum of fourteen thousand (14,000) gallons shall be used to determine the
sewer charge for each month.
SECTION II. Severability.
If any section, subsection, sentence, clause, phrase, or portion of this ordinance is, for any
reason, held invalid or unconstitutional by any court of competent jurisdiction, such portion
shall be deemed a separate, distinct, and independent provision and such holding shall not
affect the validity of the remaining provision thereof.
SECTION IlL Cumulativeness.
Provisions of this ordinance are cumulative and nothing herein shall prevent, alter, or
diminish the applicability or enforcement of other ordinances restricting, regulating, or

governing the subject matter herein.
SECTION IV. Conflicts.
All ordinances or portion of any ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in conflict
herewith, are hereby amended to conform with the provisions hereof.
SECTION ¥. Effective Date.
This Ordinance shall be effective with the billings after October 1, 1995.
