It.was moved by Alderman Garrison, seconded by ~lde'~an Carpenter, to adopt Ordinance 71-117S, an ordinance sm~nexL-~g and incorporating into the city limits of the City of P!ainview, Texas, mn area adjacent thereto; and. finding and d.eter- mining that petition has been duly si~o~ed by the ].and o~r~er and. that notice of a public hearing to be held pertainir~g to the ir~titution of such arm. exation pro- ceedings by the City of Plainview has been given s~d th. at such public hearing has been duly held; snd a~exing said area to the City Of Plainview; and making said area. subject to the jurisdiction of the City Of Piainview, Texas; the l~md being 17.69 acres located on the Die, itt Highway west of Fmnis Street as petitioned by Mr. J. It was moved by Alderman Williams, seconded by Alderman Cross, to adopt Ordinance No. 71-1179, an ordinance smending Zoning Ordinance No. ~794~ and the official map of the City of Piainview so as to make the following changes: the North SO' of the South 150' of Lot 1, Block 1, Holland Addition, ~oca~ed at 1404 North Date changed from a R-2 to a C-2 zoning a~_s~rmct (Zone Cema No. 199). Motion carried ~animously. It was moved by Alderman Carpenter, seconded by Atde~m~.an Williams, to adopt Ordinance No. 71-1180, an ordinance smendirg Zoning Ordinance No. _794~ and the official map of the City of Plainview so as to make th.e following changes: property located dn ti~e 1400 Block on Yonkers Street in the City of Plainview arid being a plot out of the Howell Subdivision of Block 2S, and the East one- bmlf of Block 24, Boswell Heights Addition to the Totem of Pl'ainview, Hale County, Texas, from a Specific Use to a R-3 zoniI~g district (Zone case 'No. 200). It was moved by Atdennan Ca~penter, seconded by-Alderman Cross, to adopt ' the Cre~Lance No. 71-1181, an ordinsnce .~.ending Zonh~.g Ordinance No 794 and official map of the City of Plainview so as to make th~ roi!os.ring changes: ~ 173.02' x'300', approximately t.007 acre tract out of the West half of Section 28.. Block JK-2, Ha!e~ Country, Texas, located at 201 interstate 27 from a R-1%o' C,-2 zoning district (Zone Case No. 201). L~me Karrh, and Mrs. Vera Wofford to se~-e as me~ers on ~ke Area Adviso~ Co~ittee. ~otion carried m~imously. tt was moved by Jgde~an Ga~ison, seconded by ~dem~ Wil!i~s, to adopt an overt~e policy- stating the following: "an overt~e policy be established that will provide when salaries/wages money or oveft~e money is budgeted available, ~ overt~e rate of one and one-half times the regular hourly base pay for all hours ~ excess of 40 hours per ~zeek, or 8 hours per day (when re- quired by the Supervisor) will be paid. No ¥~ over~e will be paid to a~inistrative employees. Fire ~d poiice employees will be compensated ~ accorS~ce with the state law." ~4otion carried ~m~ously. It was moved by Jgde~mn Wil!i~, seconded by A!de~ Ca~enter, to adopt Appropriation Ordin~_ce No. GO 285-71 from Lhe General Obligation Eond Fnnd of 1966, Acct. 42~ ~ the ~ount of $4S2.00 payable to Sisal Engineer~_g Co. material for traffic signals at 5th & Col~bia ~_d 24~ & Co!~bia. It was moved by Alde~msa~ Cgrpenter, seconded by Alderman Garrison, to adopt Bppropriation Ordinance No. GO 286.-71 from the General Obligation Bond Fomd of 1966, Acct. 424 in the snount of $1,250.00 payable to Morehead, Sharp, Tisdel, and Gibbins for senzices rendered in the Thruston condenmation case.
