The PlainviewHale County Board of Health met 11 March
1965 at the Alcove Restaurants Chairman Kirk presiding.
Dr. Marshall and Marshall Pharr reported that plans
of Health Unit buildings from other towns were presently
under study and hoped to have more definate information
for the board at the next regular meeting. Dr. Marshall
advised the Board about a new vaccine for weasels and
requested that consideration be given to increase the
budget to include purchase of this vaccine should the
money not be available from the State Health Department.
A more efficient immunization reporting system is needed
in the county. Dr. Marshall asked the Board to consider
the advisibility of requesting school officials to aid
in securing information about pre school children. Also
reporting all immunization programs to the Health Dept.
All board members agreed this would be advisable.
The Chairman reminded the Board that the meeting for
Migrant Health would be tonight, March 11, at the Farm
Bureauconference room, 700, and urged attendance.
Currant bills were presented. Joe Mayo moved bills
be approved..second Edgar Brown..motion carried.
Meeting adjourned. Members attending: Mike Kirk,
Joe Mayo, Dr, Marshall, Mayor Hood, Marshall Pharr,
Edgar Brown, Judge Abernethy..
