The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met Thursday
July 14, 1966 in a regular lunceon meeting at Wayne's
Restaurant, Ray Blair presiding.
Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Dr. Weidenback reported that grant of $51,283.00 had
been awarded the Health Department for the Migrant pro-
gram noting an increase of$33,400.00. This grant incl-
uded out-patient care for migrants. Application for in-
patient care was currently being prepared. He also
stated that Mrs. Mary Lou Truesdale, from the Health
Department in Midland, Texas, had been hired to fill
the public health nurse 111 position left vacant when
Miss. Barfoot resigned Mrs. Truesdale would beginc-,
duties August let.
Discussion concerning our Migrant Health Grant
award resulted in the decision by the Board, to wait
and see if Administratbr working on the program would
have need of the vehicle presently owned by the Health
Unit, or would prefer milage payment on personal ear.
Current bills were presented. Joe Mayo moved bills
be approved for payment..second Dr. Heyemotion carried.
Meeting adjourned. Members attending: Ray Blair,
