HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-13-1967 Board of Health MinutesApril 1967 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met Thursday April 13, 1967 in a regular luncheon meet- ing at Wayne's Restaurant, Chairman Kirk presiding. Mr. Kirk read his letter of rest of the Board, effective April l 19667, He asx chairmanes his appreciation to each Board member, the expressed County Judge for the fine cooperation and a sistance given him during his term of office. He also expres- sed confidence that with help concerned with the Health Unita, hedodoepartmentrationof couall ld render a needed service to the community. and JudgeThe Mayor each ecpressed for the Board, their grati- tude to Mr. Kirk for his faithful service. The Board accepted, with regret, Mr. Kirk's resignation. Vice Chairman Rat D. Blair would serve as chairman until August when new officers will be elected. Dr. Weidenback reported staff vacancy had been filled with the hiring of Mrs. Dunivant as secretary, leaving only ,}place of sanatarian to be filled. He advised that a committee had been appointed by the County Mediaal Society to set physicians fee's for the Migrant program. The application for in-patient migrant care would be ready to submit to the Board for their approval in the near future. Dr. Weidentrack asked the Board to carefully consider all the responsi- bilities assumed with applying for the grant as cooper- ation of all would be needed to assure success of the program. Current bills ;re- presented..Edgar Brown moved bills be approved for payment,.second Ray Blair.. motion carried. Mr. Hood stated that the Walter Hay building would be inspected in the near future toso determine suitability for the Heal Unit. A report would be made at the next regular meeting. Mr. Kirk read a letter from Dr. the application committee had met to Heye that todiscussiapplica- tion of Dr. Eugene McCarthy for Medical Director. Dr. Heye recommended "that a letter be sent to Dr. McCarthy advising him that he is not of medical director according utoithe d uari fc the position set forth by the Texas Department of Public Health."as Ray Blair moved the Board accept the recommendation of the committee,.second Edgar Brown..motion carried.
