HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-28-1967 Board of Health MinutesApril 1967 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met April 28,1967 at the Hickory Hut in a special called meeting, Ray D. Blair presiding. Purpose of the meeting was to make a decision to apply for in-patient care for migrants.This an exten- sion of the Migrant Health Grant. Edgar Brown made the motion that the Board submit application for Migrant Health Grant as outlined by Dr. Weidenback. Second Dr. Heye..motion carried..one member abstaining. McCarthy, M.D. Dear Mr. Kirk: The Application Committee met to consider the application of Dr. McCarthy for medical director for the Plainview, - Hale County Department of Health. The committee makes the following report and recommendation to the Board. Dr. McCarthy is not qualified for the position as medical director according to the qualifications as set forth by the Texas Department of Public Health. At the present time there is no vacancy for the position of acting or part time medical director. It is recommended that a letter be sent to Dr. McCarthy advising him that he is not qualified for the position of medical director according to the quali- fications as set forth by the Texas Department of Public Health, that the position of acting or part time medical director is presently filled, and that the Board of Directors thanks him for his interest.
