The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in a
regular luncheon meeting October 12, 1967 at the
Alcove Restaurant, Chairman Mayo presiding.
The first motion as made and passed was: The
County Judge and. Commissloners Court be recommended
to continue the Health Program as of the Present and
with the present salary of $15,000.00 per year for
the acting director.
The second motion: Should the aboce recommendation
be acceptable to the Court, that the Health Board
gibe a vote of confidence to Dr. Weidenback and
hope that he would continuo as the Acting Director.
All present and proxied voted for the motions
except Oliver Harmel. Joe Mayo, Chairman, expressed
a negative view.
It was then discussed by the Health Board that
should the Commissioners Court not accept the rec-
omendation that the Court then be advised that it
should find a new director and that in this event,
have the present Acting Director continuo for a stated
length of time while an attempt was made to secure
the services of a director or acting director.
Meeting adjourned. Members attending: Edgar
Brown, Ray D. Blair, Dr. Randall Heye, Oliver
Harmel, Mayor Hood, Joe Mayo.
