The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in
a regular luncheon meeting Jtly 11,1968 at Irene's
Restaurant, Chairman Mayo presiding.
Minutes of the two past meetings were read and
approved.
Dr. Wagner reporting on Health Unit activities
advised there had been one change in personel in
the sanitarian for the Migrant Program. Mr. Ray
born McGill, new replacement was to attend the
Health Unit, San Marcos, Texas, for additional
training. He noted that a new typewriter had been
purehased-paid for out of existing funds. D.
Wagner complimented Clifton Martin and. Mrs. Trues -
dale for compiling the annual migrant report.
Current bills were presented. Ray Blair moved
bills be approved for paymentsecond Edgar Brown..
motion carried.
Mrs. Truesdale reported the Health Unit had
cooperated with the Head Start Program with the
immunizations and physical examination.
Mayor Hood and Marshall Pharr stated that the
mosquito control program was very successful with
accompaning results justifying expenditure for
the aerial spray.
Oliver Harmel presented the report from the
nominating committee. He made the motion to keep
existing slate of officers to serve for 1968-69.
Joe Mayo -chairman, Ray Blair -vice chairman, and
Mary Garrison -secretary. Second made by Sam Lang-
ford..motion carried.
Meeting adjourned. Members attending: Clifton
Martin, Dr. Randall Heye, Mary Lou Truesdale, Sam
Langford, Oliver Harmel, Edgar Brown, Dr. Gerald
Wagner, Mayor Hood, Marshall Pharr and Ray Blair.
