HomeMy WebLinkAbout11-14-1968 Board of Health MinutesNovember 1968 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in a regular meeting, November 14,1968 at the Alcove, Joe Mayo presiding. Minutes of the previous meeting were read and approved. Dr. Wagner reporting on Health Unit activities, advised that representatives from the Migrant Health Grant from Wae.hington and Dallas had ,been here the past weekdfor a budget review. Budgei-for next year would be adjusted, based on recommendations made at that time. Mrs. Truesdale reported that positive T.B test had been received from two local elementary schools, four from Junior High and three from High School. Many positives reported from the county but none from Abernathy or Cotton Center. Petersburg would be visited the coming week. Oliver Harmel complimented Dr. staff for the fine booth at the Cottoner Festivald , Clifton Martin reported the the Migrant Health Grant had been apprOVed for *74,000,00 instead of the requested $84,000,04 The program would need to be revised to take care of more hospitalization and in-patient physician service. Final approval would be made first of the year, Dr. Heye noted that the Commissioners Court had refused the offer made by Dr. Ackor the City Counci;, to sell his , accepted by Health Department. Dr. Heye made ©thetmotion the that the Board request the Commissioners Court, by letter, to reconsider purchase of the Ackor prop- erty. Second Oliver Harmel..motinn unamiouoly approved. Ray Blair moved bills be approved for second Edgar Brown..mott6n carried. Payment., Meeting adjourned.
