CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 24-47ENTITLED "REFiTSE COLLECTION FEES ; WATER m~rirTxATIOri" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS WHEREAS', there is a .need to provide sanitation customers additional frequencies of refuse collection service; and WHEREAS, there is a need to provide special rates for customers mho desire to participate in a cardboard recycling .program. NOW, THER~'ORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Plainview, Texas, that Section 24-47 entitled "Refuse Collection Fees; Water. Termination" of the Code of Qrdinances of the City of Plainview, Texas., be amended. SECTION Z: Amendment. The following Code provisions are amended to read as follows.: '~ Section 24-47. Refuse Collection Fees; Water Termination. a) Class I: The collection and removal of refuse from houses, buildings and premises used for residential purposes shall be classified as Glass I. Residential. houses are hereby classified as follows: Monthly charge Class 1-A --- One family residence $ 8.20 Class 1-B --- Two family residence .with one (1) water meter. $16.40 Class 1-C --- Two family residence on separate water meters, each unit. $ 8.20 Class 1-D --- One family residence and single .apartment on one (1) water meter, each unit. $ 8.20 Class l-E --- Apartment house or trailer park with three (3) or more family units, with one(l) mandatory ~ - three cubic yard container. $32.80 1 of 4 1 of 4 Class 1-F --- For each additional container determined by: the: Sanitation Superintendent to be needed. $32.80 Class l-G --- Any Class I customer who desires Class II service may be provided such subject to approual of the Sanitation Superintendent.. (b) Class II The collection and removal of refuse from houses, -buildings; and premises used for commercial and business purposes shall be classified as Class.II. These charges shall be made i ~ monthly,, and .the charges and fees far the collection and.. disposal. of refuse shall be added to and be placed upon- the tooter bill or otherwise billed to each account. Payments of amounts due far refuse collection and disposal service .shall be made within the time set forth on'the water bill and shall be subject to the same penalty set forth thereon. If the xefuse fee i not paid. within .twenty (20}.days after it becomes due, then the City shall refuse to furnish any water and/or refuse collection. and disposal service to the residence, apartments, dormitory or establishment for which'such refuse collection fee-has not been paid. (d) Commercial Rates Outside. To the extent that any provisions in this ordinance are n.'conflct with or inconsistent with any provisions of any. other ordinance or .Code provisions, the terms of this ordinance shall. prevail.
