Center, 2902 West 4th Street, Plainview, TeXasl The agenda for this meeting was
posted in City Hall at 11:00 a.m. on August 5, 2002. Mayor Lloyd C. Woods presided.
Councilmembers present were: Kelvin Tipton-District 1, Mary Jane Shanes-District 2,
John N. Bertsch-District 4, Ross Owen-District 5, Buddy McGehee-District 6 and Irene
Favila-District 7. Councilmember absent was Belinda Pena-District 3.
Staff members present were: James P. Jeffers-City Manager, Gary Glass-Fire Chief,
Brice Clements-Assistant Director of Public Works/Engineer, John Berry-Director of
Public Works, John Castro-Director of Community Services, Will Mull-Police Chief;
Dennis Harkins-Police Captain, Wally Hatch-City Attorney, Jack Keller-Budget Manager
and Belinda Hinojosa-City Secretary.
Guests Present: Ron Trusler, Dr. Sidney Ontai and Joe Wright
News Media Representative: Richard Orr-Plainview Daily Herald
Councilmember Shanes delivered the InvocatiOn.
The Council and staff then reviewed the agenda for the City Council meeting of August,
13, 2002.
Councilmember Belinda Pena was granted an excused absence.
There was no discussion held concerning the 2002-2003 Budget.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 1'12 p.m.
