7:30 P.M. - City Hall
The Board of Adjustment met in regular session by Carolyn
Warrick, Acting Chairperson. Other members present were Randy
Ballinger, Lynn Davis and Betty Gonzalez.
Staff present was Jim Sewell, Building Inspector.
Visitors present were Darlene & Emmett Lundy.
B. A. CASE NO. 1093:
Request of Darlene Lunday for a variance to continue to park a
mobile home for use as living quarters in a R-2 (Single-Family
Residential) Zoning District, being Lot 1, Block 61, Highland
Addition and located at 801 W. 15th Street.
The case was presented by Mr. Sewell using audio visual means.
Mr. Seweil stated that Ms. Lunday;s mother is in need of constant
care due to bad health. It was noted that Ms. Lunday has been
living in this mobile home and providing care for her mother
since 1979.
Mr. Ballinger asked if any improvements had been made to the
mobile home that would make it a permanent structure. Ms. Lunday
assured the Board that no such improvements had been made.
After a short discussion, Mr. Davis made a motion to grant a
variance to permit the mobile home to remain for a .period of one
year. The motion was seconded by Mr. Ballinger and carried
unanimously.
Having no further business before the Board, Mr. Davis moved,
seconded by Ms. Gonzalez and carried unanimously.
