ORDINANCE NO. 88-2746
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING, STOPPING OR
STANDING OF ANY MOTOR VEHICLE ON A PORTION OF
SOUTHWEST ALPINE DRIVE, PLAINVIEW, TEXAS; PROVIDING
A PENALTY AND PROVIDING FOR THE PASSAGE OF SUCH
ORDINANCE AS AN EMERGENCY.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas has
determined that it would be in the best interest of the public
that parking, stopping or standing of motor vehicles of any kind
be prohibited on the following portion of southwest Alpine Drive,
in the City of Plainview, Texas; to wit;
From the East boundary line of South Columbia Street, East on
the North side of Southwest Alpine Drive for a distance of 143
feet.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the
City of Plainview, Texas:
Section 1: Parking, stopping or standing of any kind of
motor vehicle on the North side of that portion of Southwest
Alpine Drive, East of its intersection with the East boundary line
of South Columbia Street thence East for a distance of 143 feet is
prohibited.
Section 2: Ail ordinances or portions of any ordinance of
the City of Plainview, Texas in conflict herewith are hereby
repealed or amended to conform with the provisions of this
ordinance.
Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply
with any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed
guilty of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a
fine as such is set forth in Section 1-5, Plainview City Code,
pursuant to law.
The necessity to prohibit the parking, stopping or standing of any
motor vehicle of any kind on that portion of Southwest Alpine
Drive in Plainview, Texas, as herein described, creates an
emergency and it is an imperative public necessity that more than
one reading thereof be, and the same is hereby suspended. This
ordinance shall be passed and take effect as an emergency measure
and shall be in full force and effect from and after its passage
as provided by law, and it is so ordained.

ORDINANCE NO. 88-2746
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Plainvi~w did on
March 8, 1988, at a Regular Session of said City'Council pass and
adopt Ordinance No. 88-2746. The Descriptive Caption and Penalties
of said Ordinance are as follows:
AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE pARKING, STOPPING OR
STANDING OF. ANY MOTOR VEHICLE ON A PORTION OF
SOUTHWEST ALPINE DRIVE, PLAINVIEW, TEXAS; PROVIDING
A PENALTY AND PROVIDING FOR THE PASSAGE OF SUCH
ORDINANCE AS AN EMERGENCY.
PENALTIES
The penalties for the violation of said Ordinance are as
follows: .__
Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply
with any of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty
of a misdemeanor and upon conviction shall be punished by a fine as
such is set forth in Section 1-5, Plainview City Code, pursuant to
law.
