HomeMy WebLinkAbout97-3152BUDGET AMENDMENT - S/W to N/W International Trade Corridor ORDINANCE NO. 97-3152 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 97-3135 TO APPROPRIATE FUNDS WITHIN THE 1997-1998 Budget for participation in the Southwest to Northwest International Trade Corridor; CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS CLAUSE; SEVERABILITY CLAUSE; AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, on the 22nd day of September, 1997, through the adoption of Ordinance No. 97-3135 the City Council of the City of Plainview approved the 1997-1998 budget; and WHEREAS, the budget is a general guideline for revenue and expenditures and may require periodic amendments; and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that a need for the City to budget funds for participation in the Southwest to Northwest International Trade Corridor; and WHEREAS, the Director of Finance certifies that funds are available to support the salary adjustments stated herein. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Plainview that the 1997-1998 budget is hereby amended to appropriate funds as follows: SECTION I Account Number 1997-1998 Budget Appropriation Amended Appropriation 01-03-00-6578 -0- $13,728.36 $13,728.36 SECTION II Provisions of this Ordinance are cumulative and nothing herein shall prevent, alter, or diminish the applicability or enforcement of other Ordinances restricting, regulating, or governing the subject matter herein. SECTION III All Ordinances or portions of any Ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas, in conflict herewith are hereby amended to conform with the provisions hereof. Page 1 of 2 SECTION IV Should any section, subsection, or any portion hereof, be deemed invalid for any reason, such holding shall not render or invalidate any other section, subsection, sentence, provision, clause, phrase, or word severable therefrom, and the same shall be deemed severable for this purpose. SECTION V This Ordinance shall be of full force and effect upon its passage and publication as required by law. PASSED AND APPROVED this 13th day of January, 1998.
