Council Chambers, City Hall, 901 Broadway The meeting was called to order by chairperson, Lynn Davis. Other board members present were: Betty Gonzalez, Mary Ann Escamila, Lee Roy Lightfoot, and Randy Ballinger. Staff present were: Muff London, Director for Community Development; Larry Gould, Building Inspections; and Janice Anderson, Secretary. Larry Gould presented B. A. Case No. 1184: Request of Eugene G. Frank for a variance of two (2) feet of the ten (10) feet required separation between accessory buildings and main building in Section 34:1(2)(a) for placement of storage building being Lot 25, Town West Addition and generally located at 2916 Mesa Drive. No replies were received. The property requires a variance as it was a nonconforming building being replaced. Randy Ballinger moved, seconded by Betty Gonzales to approve the request. Motion carried unanimously. Larry Gould presented B. A. Case No. 1185: Request of Jesse Perez for a variance of twenty-two (22) feet required front setback in Section 34 for placement of a carport being Lot 1, Block 10, Jordon-Lafont Subdivision and generally located at 1710 Galveston. No replies were received. Leroy Lightfoot moved, seconded by Mary Ann Escamilla to approve the request. Motion carried unanimously. Larry Gould presented B. A. Case No. 1186: Request of Ruben G. Roque to allow a mobile home to remain at Lot 3, Block 42, Highland Addition and generally located at 1211 Portland. Reference Section 37:2(g). One (1) positive reply was received. R. C. Hyde, property owner across the street spoke. He stated he had no problem with the trailer, but wanted to know if he could place a trailer on his lot. John Truitt, 1206 Quincy, stated he had no problem with it. Randy Ballinger moved, seconded by Mary Ann Escamilla to grant a two (2) year variance and that the trailer be owner occupied. Motion carried unanimously. Randy Ballinger moved, seconded by Leroy Lightfoot to adjourn.
