Council Chambers, City Hall, 901 Broadway The meeting was called to order by chairperson, Lynn Davis. Other board members present were: Eddie Sessions, Betty Gonzalez, Mary Ann Escamila, Lee Roy Lightfoot and Randy Ballinger. Staff present were: Jim Lindstrom, Code Enforcement Department. B. A. CASE NO. 1171: Request of Jose C. Antuna for the following variances to erect two (2) carports and a fence in the required front yard in a R-2 (Single Family Residential District) Zoning District: A. West Carport 1. Four (4) feet of the five (5) foot required side yard setback. Twenty-four and one-half (24~) feet of the twenty-five (25) foot required front yard setback. B. East Carport 1. Four (4) feet of the five (5) foot required side yard setback; Seventeen feet (17) of the twenty-five (25) foot required front yard setback. Variance in maximum height permitted in Section 34:7 for placement of a fence in a front yard. To exceed maximum height in Section 34:7.e of thirty (30) inches by thirty-three (33) inches; To exceeds maximum height in Section 34:7.2.c of thirty-six (36.) inches by twenty-seven (27) inches; Being Lot 7, Block 2, Eoff-Green Addition and generally located at 107 Lindberg. Jim Lindstrom presented B. A. Case No. 1171 to the board. There were two (2) replies against and one (1) reply in favor. Lee Roy Lightfoot moved, seconded by Betty Gonzalez to approve the request. CASE NO. 1172: Request of Jerry James for a following variances to construct a thirty (30) by twenty-four (24) foot storage/workshop in the rear yard in a R-1 (Single Family Residential District) Zoning District. Fourteen (14) feet of the required twenty (20) foot required for a garage arranged so as to be entered from an alley in Section 34:5.5. Seven (7) feet of the required eight (8) foot side yard setback in Section 32:1; Co To exceed the eight (8) foot maximum height on an accessory building located closer than ten (10) feet from rear property line as required in Section 34:1.1.6 by ten (10) feet; De To be exempted from the erection of a rear fence required in Section 34:1.1.6; Being Lot 25 and the south twenty (20) feet of Lot 26, Block 4, Brandes Addition and generally located at 816 Canyon Street. Jim Lindstrom presented B. A. Case No. 1172 to the board. Two (2) replies in favor were received. Lee Roy Lightfoot moved, seconded by Randy Ballinger to approve the request. Motion carried unanimously. B. A. CASE NO. 1173: Request of Julio C. Hernandez for the following variances for setting of an accessory building in the rear yard as required in Section 34:1.2 (b) (c) in a R-2 (Single Family Residential District) Zoning District. A. To be exempted from the erection of a rear fence as required in (b); Variance of two (2) feet of the five (5) foot setback as required for side and rear (c) yards. Being Lot 12, Block 16, of College Hill Addition and generally located at 603 Nassau. Jim Lindstrom presented B. A. Case No. 1173 to the board. No replies were received. Lee Roy Lightfoot moved, seconded by Betty Gonzalez to approved the request. Motion carried unanimously.
