ORDINANCE AMENDMENT -
ORDINANCE NO. 03-3398
AN ORDINANCE AMENDING CHAPTER 19, PLANNING AND ZONING,
OF THE CITY OF PLAINVlEW CODE OF ORDINANCES; PROVIDING
FOR AN AMENDMENT TO SECTION 19-82, AMENDMENTS, TO
AMEND FEES TO BE CHARGED AND COLLECTED;
CUMULATIVENESS CLAUSE; CONFLICTS CLAUSE; SEVERABILITY
CLAUSE, AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 19-82, sets forth the sign permit fee regulations; and
WHEREAS, from time to time it is advisable to review the Sign Permit Fees and
update such; and
WHEREAS, the proposed change in the Sign Permit Fees as herein after made
has been duly presented to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, it was determined by the City Council that it would be in the best
interest to, due to changed conditions, amend Section 6-1 in the manner hereinafter set
forth in the body of this ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, The City of Plainview Hereby Ordains That:
SECTION I
Section 19-82 is amended as follows:

Sec. 304.1 Fee Schedule. A sign permit fee shall be paid at the time application
is made for erection of a sign. Sign permit fees are as follows:

Portable, Ground, Roof, Temporary and
Projecting Signs)
Reinspection or Red Tag Fee
After Hours Inspections
(After hours inspections are between the hours of
5:00 pm and 8:00 am Monday through Friday and
all day on weekends and City recognized holidays.)

SECTION II
Provisions of this ordinance are cumulative and nothing herein shall prevent, alter, or
diminish the applicability or enforcement of other ordinances restricting, regulating or
governing the subject matter herein.
SECTION III
All ordinances or portions of any ordinance of the City of Plainview, Texas in conflict
herewith, are hereby amended to conform with the provisions hereof.
SECTION IV
Should any section, subsection, or any portion hereof be deemed invalid for any reason,
such holding shall not render or invalidate any other section, subsection, sentence,
provision, clause, phrase or word severable therefrom and the same shall be deemed
severable for this purpose.
SECTION V
This ordinance shall be of full force and effect upon its passage and publication as
required by law.
