First item on the agenda: Approval of September 2003 minutes! Max-Browning made motion to approve minutes as read. Glenn Bick~l secondex!, Motion carried 5-0. Second item on the agenda: BA Case # 1461. The request of Ernes$o and Tomasa, Jglesias for a variance of twenty-three (23) feet of the required twenty-five (25) foot from setback and one (1:) foot, of.the required five (5): foot side l setback 'as stated in Section 34 of:the:City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance to construct a,.:.20~X22"carport .in a.Single~Family ,Residential. (R-2) Zoning District, and'being Bl0ek 1,.Lot29; TitusSUbdivision Plainview, Hale County, Texas ~the same being 703 W. 28~ Stre'et~ 'Ernesto lglesias'.is present to'"answer' questions from the Board. John Castro showed the Board .piCtures' of th6 proPerty and a Site plan-of where the proposed carport would be placed. John Bickel asked if there were other carports in the area and John Castro said there were two (2) others. Glenn Bickel made a motion to approve the variance request based on this being the only logical place for a carport and the positiveresponse from the neighborhood. Fred Willis seconded.
