STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Jeffrey Snyder and Judy Rasher, Community Service Secretary. GUESTS PRESENT: Ricardo Vasquez on behalf of E. J. McKnight, 1302 Thunderbird Dr., homeowner, Rogelio Acosta, 1122 W 31 St. Mark Hardin called the meeting to order at 6:01 P. M. FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Oath of office to members Mark Hardin, Kevin Carter and Joe Frank Rodriguez were sworn in. SECOND ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Approval of January 27, 2014 minutes. Kevin Carter made a motion to approve minutes as presented. Joe Frank Rodriguez seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. THIRD ITEM ON THE AGENDA: BA Case # 1628: Consider the request of a special exception of the minimum front set back authorizing the construction of a Carport under the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance Section 37.2.2(H) Special Exceptions. Property Owner : Rogelio Acosta Address: 1122 W 31 Legal Description: Block 15 W2' -11 Lot 12 Unit 13 of the Thunderbird Addition Zoning: R2 Jeffrey Snyder presented the case before the board. A real estate assessment of the area was performed by a local real estate agent and it was determined that the construction of a carport at 1122 w 31 Street will not have a negative effect on other nearby properties in the neighborhood. Joe Frank Rodriguez made a motion to approve the variance based on the request. Kevin Carter seconded and the motion carried unanimously. FOURTH ITEM ON THE AGENDA: BA Case #1629: Consider the request of a special exception of the minimum front set back authorizing the construction of a Carport under the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance Section 37.2.2(H) Special Exceptions.
