Property Owner: Jose Santos Amador Address: 2303 W 20th Legal Description: Block 7 Lot 9 of the Jr. High Addition Zoning: R1 Robert Zapata presented the case before the board. A real estate assessment of the area was performed by a local real estate agent and it was determined that the construction of a carport at 2303 W 20th will not have a negative effect on other nearby properties in the neighborhood. Joe Frank Rodriguez made a motion to approve the variance based on the request. Kevin Carter seconded and the motion carried unanimously. Adjournment — Meeting adjourned at 6:07 P.M. .. STAFF MEMBERS PRESENT: Robert Zapata, City Inspector and Judy Rasher, Community Service Secretary. GUESTS PRESENT: Daniel Leal, resides at 810 Borger St. and Charles Bechtold, who resides at 804 Borger St. Mark Hardin called the meeting to order at 6:00 P. M. FIRST ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Oath of office - NA SECOND ITEM ON THE AGENDA: Approval of May 5, 2014 minutes. Joe Frank Rodriguez made a motion to approve minutes as presented. Kevin Carter seconded the motion. Motion carried unanimously. THIRD ITEM ON THE AGENDA: BA Case # 1635: Consider the request of a special exception of the minimum front set back authorizing the construction of a Carport under the City of Plainview Zoning Ordinance Section 37.2.2(H) Special Exceptions. Property Owner : Daniel Leal Address: 810 Borger Legal Description: Block 3 Lot 11 S6.2' -12 of the Brandes Addition Zoning: R1 Robert Zapata presented the case before the board. A real estate assessment of the area was performed by a local real estate agent and it was determined that the construction of a carport at 810 Borger St will not have a negative effect on other nearby properties in the neighborhood. Guest, Charles Bechtold had questions regarding the set back of the carport and if it would block the view of the right -a -way traffic. Robert Zapata reassured Mr. Bechtold that the carport would not go pass the sidewalk of the owner's property and would not interfere with the right - - way traffic.
