PARKS ADVISORY COMMISSION
BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The City of Plainview Park Advisory Board as appointed by City
Ordinance Number 95-3035 dated as approved March 28, 1995, held
an open meeting at 4:00 P.M., Thursday, November 14, 1996 in the
Conference Room at City Hall, 901 Broadway Street, Plainview,
Texas. Minutes for this meeting are hereby submitted as follows.
ITEM
1. Call to order by Chairperson Ms. Davis at 4:03 PM.
2. Invocation by Ms. Davis.
3. Members present were: Ms. Luna, Ms. Kiser, Ms. Davis, Mr.
Mock, Ms. Riggins and Ms. Morales. Members absent were:
Vacancy by Ms. Houlette and Vacancy by Ms. Smith. No gusets
were present. City staff present were Ches Carthel,
Director of Public Works, Carl Holland, Park Superintendent
and Rusty Reese, Park Foreman.
4. Minutes for October 17, 1996 were approved as read.
5. Old Business - Continue to create and develop Master plan
A. To maintain a parks needs list.
B. Needs assessment - Prioritized List
1. Land acquired
2. Water
3. Landscape - topography
4. Facilities
5. Maintenance
6. Next meeting is set for January 16, 1997 in the Conference
Room in the basement of City Hall, 901 Broadway, Plainview,
Texas.
7. Meeting was adjourned at 5:15 PM.
