HomeMy WebLinkAbout08-17-1972 Board of Health MinutesThe Plainview -H e County Board of Health met at 12:30 P.M., August 17, 1972
at the Holiday Inn with the following present: Dr. Randall Heye, Mary Lou
Truesdale, David Oates, Oliver Hamel, Lucille Nall, Dr. Gerald Wagner, and
Clara Neis, and Sam Langford.
The minutes of July 20, 1972, were read and approved.
Motion was made by Lucille Nall that the expenditure report for July be approved.
Oliver Hamel seconded motion. Motion carried.
Sam Langford reported that a Watts line would not be practical for the office
because of the expense involved.
Dr Wagner reported a busy summer with participation in Family Service Clinics
averaging from 20 to 35 patients, and since the beginning of school is approaching,
they will be giving the TB tests to students and teachers. He also stated that
he had been doing the Migrant Clinics trying to determine if it would not be more
efficient to have one doctor see the patients all the time.
Sam Langford made a motion to advise HEW that the Health Board is cognizant of
the increased time and effort of Dr. Wagner in connection with these projects
over and above his duties as acting director of the local Health Department work.
Dr. Heye seconded motion. Motion carried.
Mary Lou Truesdale submitted a written report and said the office had been very
busy.
David Oates recommended that we table any action on the Project Policy Board,
stating that a representative from the Dallas Office was expected within a few
days for further discussion on this Board. He suggested that Jim Clayton should
be commended on his work in the Sanitation Department.
No other business appearing, the meeting adjourned.
