at Holiday Inn. Those attending were: Dr. D.J. Truitt, Dr. C.L. Busby, r Ray
Clara Neis,Oliver Harmel, Mary Lou Truesdale, Dr. Randall Heye,

Dr. Gerald Wagner, Dr. Felix Crawford and Milton S . �.ms .

The minutes of the,
Motion byOliver Harmel that the expenditure report for Dctober be approved
was seconded byRayD. Blair. Motion carried. Dr. Crawford request that an
extra column for local budget be included next month, on the report.
Mary Lou. Truesdale report that Judge Heck had advised her that a clerk had
d beginning November 1, 1972, and that Patricia Mogg had been
been approved g g
employed. f <<,He indicated that the rest of the budget would be discussed with
Dr. Crawford.
Dr. Wagner indicated that he was agreeable not to have a raise in salary, as
he was receiving remuneration from his work with the migrant feasibility project
program and family clinics.
Milton Sims gave a report
on his studyand findings concerning use of sawdust
on :meat market floor. He stated that individual cities adopted the code, and
in his �
opinion it was . dirty, unsanitary, unsightly and after 24 hours use a
dust rose from
it. He stated Abilene ran a bacterial count which showed
23600 and 27,000
count for markets using sawdust compared with average of
6,000 on those not using sawdust and it was his thinking that it was a matter
of education of the
markets and that more time be given them to consider their
request. Mr. Sims did not have a report on use of coarse grain sanitized
w dust and he was requested to investigate and report back next
month on this.

Dr. Wagner reported
that theyhad a full personnel, crowed office conditions,
renting a typewriter, and 0of the work is migrant. He reported that David
Oates was in Austin
presentinga study on the Feasibility Study Project and
he
hop to edgive the people here a report within the next month.
TB testing Lou . Truesdale reported that for school children continued
and that there had been no converters in Abernathy, Petersburg and Cotton
Center, two in Hale Center,
H �le and 7 in Plainview. The new V.D. Epidemiologist
will conduct a program. December 5.
