MUTES
FEBRUARY 28, 1980
The Plainview.'Hale County Board of Health met in regular session
on Thursday, February 28, 1980, at K -Bob's Steak House in Plainview,
Texas. Those attending were: Dr. C. M. Baldwin, Mrs. Mary Lou Trues -
dale, Mr. John Hatchel, Dr. Hugh H. Milson, Jr., Mrs, Iva Jean West,
Mr. Ray Blair, Mr. Oliver Harmel, Mr, Bud Law, Judge Bill Hollars, Dr.
Richard E. Morgan and Mrs. Janie Gonzales.
The meeting vas called to order by the chairman, Dr. Baldwin.
The minutes of the last meeting were approved as circulated.
Dr. Baldwin read to the Board the letter sent to the mayor of
Abernathy, Hale Center and Petersburg with regard to Enviromental
Health Services and that no correspondance had been received. Fol-
lowing discussion, Dr. Morgan moved that routine Enviromental Health
Services cease gt,rting Larch 1, 1980, for the cities with whom we
are not negotiating a positive action. Mr. Oliver Harmel seconded.
Motion was carried.
A motion was carried that the bills be paid.
Mrs. Truesdale requested that the mileage be increased from 170
to 180 a mile. Following_ discussion, Dr. Morgan moved that mileage
be increased to 18¢ a mile. Mr. Blair secounded. Motion was carried.
Dr. Baldwin called for a report by Mrs. Truesdale. She presented
to the board an Organizational Chart. She informed the board of the
new staff member, Miss Judy Bullion, R.N., for family planning. Mrs.
Connie Thomas gill start in her training of prenatal care. Mrs. Trues
dale is still seeking funding for a clerk position from the commi ssionerf s
court. She also mentioned that we would probably have some visitors
at future board meetings.
Dr. Baldwin brought to the board fs attention the total services
rendered through the Health Department through out the month of Jan-
uary.
. Baldwin moved that the meeting be adjourned. Motion carried.
