HomeMy WebLinkAbout04-24-1980 Board of Health MinutesPLAI COUNTY BOARD OF April 24, 1980 TH UTES The Plainview -Hale County Board of Health met in regular session on April 24, 1980. Those in attendance were: Mrs. Mary Lou Truesdale, C.M. Baldwin, Dr. Richard Morgan, Dr. C.L. Busby, Mrs. Iva Jean West, Dr. John P. Board, Jr., Mrs. Janie Gonzales, Mayor Bob Wayland, Mr. gay Blair, Mr. Bud Law, Dr. Hugh Wilson, Jr., and guests Gene Carter, city council of Hale Center, and Mrs. Wilson. The meeting was mailed to order by the chairman, Dr. C.M. Baldmin. The motion was made -by Dr. Wilson that the minutes be approved as circulated. Motion as seconded and carried. The next order of business concerned all outstanding bills. The mo- tion was made by Mr. Blair and seconded by Dr. Morgan that these be paid. Motion carried. Mrs. Truesdale reported Mrs. Billie Newsome mould be resigning on May 9, 1980. Mrs. Janie Gonzales would be transferred from local pay to state pay and someone new would be hired for local pear. Services for the month of March were down due to staff illness. Prenatal services should be started sometime this summer. At least ore more year should be antici- pated for family planning funding. Dr. C.M. Baldwin, chairman, welcomed Mr. Gene Carter and Mrs. Wilson. Mrs. Iva Jean West presented the proposed budget for 1980 - 1981. Discussion was held. Dr. Richard Morgan moved me accept the budget as presented, with the understanding that the proposal for Clerk III would be inc- as a separate item. Mr. Ray Blair seconded. Motion was car- ried. Dr. Richard Morgan discussed the capital outlay for the, Clerk III position. Mr, Bud Law moved the Clerk III position be approved. Dr. Morgan seconded. It was a unanimous vote. Dr. Board stated it vas a unanimous vote for the Clerk III position of those present. Mrs. Truesdale brought to our attention that the contract with Aber- nathy had been signed and the check received for Enviromental Health Ser- vices. Mr. Law and Mr. Carter have requested a letter outlining the En- viromental Health Services and a contract ready for their meeting with the city council. The Inter -office Nemo from Austin about funding projects and levy- ing positions was brought up for discussion. Dr. Wilson moved we adjourn the meeting. Dr. Morgan seconded.
