Mrs. Truesdale reported she was now back to work about 4 hours a day
for the first three weeks and eventually work up to 6 hours a day and was
allowed to do only administrative work. The nursing work load is still been
handled by Mrs. Velma Mitchell, Mrs. Rosa Lie McMurtry, and Miss.Judy Bullion.

Mrs. Truesdale also pointed out that there would be a Sexually Trans-
mitted Disease Workshop on the 20th, and 2lat of November. She also proposed
that thephysician that is to serve as the local venereal disease adviser, be able
to attend this workshop and the money set aside for Education and Training
be used to cover the phyaiciant' expenses. The importance of the physician
to attend the workshop is to keep updated on the many new changes in treat-
ment of veneral diseases, which is difficult for many physicians to keep up
with. Dr. Wilson explained that the doctors in family practices have the
requirement to perform so many hours per year in training that it really could
be done at the physicians own expense since it had tobe part of their training
anyway. He also said that in doing so the money set aside for Education and
Training need not be used.
Mrs. Truesdale also said that it would be at least 2 more months in.
order to replace Mrs. Thomas, who resigned in July. It could be another 6
months before the Perinatal Program can be fully orientated. The Aide for
the Perinatal Program has been replaced by Felicia Arias, who had been trained
through the Man Power Program.
