BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The City of Plainview Park Advisory Board, as appointed by City Ordinance Number 95-3035, dated,
as approved, March 28, 1995, held an open meeting at 4:45 P.M., Thursday, May 12, 2005, in the
Council Chambers at City Hall, 901 Broadway Street, Plainview, Texas. Minutes for this meeting are
hereby submitted as follows.
ITEM
1. Called to order by Chairperson Lucile Davis at 4:45 P.M.
2. Invocation given by Phyllis Wall.
3. Members present were: Lucile Davis, Irma Luna, Phyllis Wall, Doylene Lloyd, and
Carlene Kirby
4. Members absent were: Ruby Riggins, Barbara Ramirez, and vacant.
5. February minutes were given by Lucile Davis and approved as read.
6. City Staff present were: Rusty Reese, Park Superintendent
7. Guests present were: no guests
8. Old Business. Park Comprehensive Plan. Commission reviewed items for first year plan.
Members requested Rusty to provide a list of improvements that are needed in the parks
and these items will be discussed at the next meeting.
9. New Business. Update on Hike and Bike Trail. Rusty told members that the
archaeological study is complete and we are awaiting the written report. Rustyfurther
stated that two bison skulls had been found together during the excavation portion;
however, this find is not expected to delay the trail.
10. Open meeting for comments and questions. Lucile told members that Bob Noblett has
resigned his position on the Commission due to time constraints.
11. Next meeting set for June 9, 2005.
12. Meeting adjourned at 5:15 P.M.
