MINUTES
MARCH 26, 1981
The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in regular session on
March 26, 1981 at K—Bob!s. Those in attendance Caere: Mayor Wayland,
Mr. Oliver Harmel, Mr, Bud Law, Dr. C.M. Baldwin, Dr. Hugh H. 'Wilson,
and guest Mrs. Wilson, Mrs. Iva Jean West, Mr. John Hatchel, Mr. James
Belk, Mrs. Mary Lou Truesdale, Ars, Rachel Castillo, and Mr. Buddy Baker.

carried.
The next order of business concerned all outstanding bills. The motion
vas made by Dr. Wilson and seconded by Mr. Hamel that they be paid.
Motion carried.
Dr. Baldwin asked for a report from the resource committee concerning the
Health Department Director. At this point the board ment into executive
session. Mr. Hamel reported on contacts made by the resource committee.
Discussion follomed. Following the executive session, notion was made by
Dr. Wilson that Dr. Anthony Lyons be accepted as the new Health Department
Director and that he assume lis position April 1, 1981. This motion mas
seconded by Mrs, West. Motion carried unanimously.
Dr. Baldwin suggested that a letter be written from the Board of Health
and City Officers thanking Dr. Heye and Dr. Busby for their services.
Dr. Baldwin requested discussion of House Bill 200. After general dis—
cussion it mas decided that action by the Board was inappropriate at
this time.
Mrs. Truesdale reported to the board concerning the nurses case load, her
trip to Austin concerning the improved Child Health Project, and also reported
that the Health Department had a new clerk trainee, Miss Ester Smith.
Miss Smith is working through the CETA Program.
Motion was made by Dr. Wilson that the meeting be adjourned, motion was
seconded by Mr. law. Motion carried.
