HomeMy WebLinkAbout10-29-1981 Board of Health MinutesPlainview Hale County Board of Health Minutes October 29, 1981 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in regular session on October 29, 1981. Those present ware: Dr. C.M. Baldwin, Bud Law, Dr. Larry Karrh, Susan Dobbins, Iva Jean West, Lanny Voss, Tom Aday, James Belk, John Hatchell, Dr. Anthony Lyons, Mary Lou Truesdale, Rachel Castillo, and media representatives Jim Davis and Buddy Baker. The meeting was called to order by chairman Dr. Larry Karrh. First order of business was the approval of the September 1981 minutes. Mayor Wayland questioned the seconding of a motion by an ex -officio member. Minutes are to be corrected to state "Motion was made by Mr. Law that they be approved as circulated, seconded by Mr. Hamel." Motion was made by Dr. Baldwin to approve the minutes as corrected, seconded by Mrs. West. Motion carried. Next Dr. Karrh called for payment of bills. Mrs. West made a motion that they be paid, Dr. Baldwin seconded, and motion carried. Dr. Karrh r=* ped the board that there would be a roll call at each meeting and that absences would then be excused or unexcused by the board as a whole. The board excused theabsences of Dr. C.L. Busby, Oliver Hamel, and Dr. Hugh H. Wilson, Jr. Dr. Baldwin reported for the Fee Structuring Committee. He summarized a letter from Mr. Maloney of the legal division of the State Health Department and reported that the committee was setting up a chart to reflect all of the professional and administrative services. The committee will have a tentative report by the December 1981 meeting. She discussed the increasing number of animal bites for which the Health Department has offered additional public education. She reported a decline in Family Planning Appointments kept, shared information on a report from South Plains Health Provider Organization and stated that the Department had begun Maternity Clinics. Dr. Baldwin commented on the nursing cervices and the services rendered to jail patients. Dr. Karrh asked Mr. Belk if he had anthing to report from the county and Mr. Belk replied that everything was in good shape. Mrs. West moved that the meeting be adjourned, motion was seconded by i r.
