HomeMy WebLinkAbout01-28-1982 Board of Health MinutesBOARD OF HEALTH MINUTES January 28, 1982 The Plainview Hale County Board of Health met in regular session on January 28, 1982 at K -Bob's Steak House. Those in attendance were: Mr. Tom Aday, C.M. Baldwin, D.D.S., Mr. James Belk, Mrs. Susan Dobbins, R.N., Judge Bill Hollars, Larry Karrh, M.D., Mr. Bud Law, Anthony Lyons, M.D., Mrs. Mary Lou Truesdale, R.N., Mayor Bob Wayland, Mrs. Iva Jean West, Hugh H. Wilson, Jr., M.D., Mr. Ron Felty, Mrs. Rachel Castillo, media representatives Mr. Buddy Baker and Mr. Jim Davis, also guest Mrs. Jean Law. The meeting was called to order by Dr. Karrh. First there was some discussion on unexcused absences and an addition to the minutes. No action was taken. Dr. Karrh then called for payment of the bills. Dr. Baldwin moved that they be paid, Mrs. West seconded, and motion carried. Next were the excused absences. Dr. Baldwin moved that Mr. Oliver Harmel be excused, Dr. Wilson seconded, and motion carried. All other absences were unexcused. Dr. Karrh then asked for discussion of the Fee Scheduling. Dr. Baldwin referred to the Fee Scheduling Chart and allowed time for suggestions. After much discussion and many suggestions, board members were asked to study the chart with current suggestions for one month and make final changes and or approval at the next meeting. There was some discussion concerning the Maternity Clinics and the liability of the City and County. Mr. Felty was asked to meet with Mr. Tom Hamilton and do some legal research on the matter then report to the board. Mrs. Truesdale reported a 10% increase in patients over last year. Also that there were three cases of Hepatitis at the jail and twoin a Day Care Center. Nothing else unusual except an increase in strep throats reported. Dr. Wilson made a motion that the meeting be adjourned. It was seconded, and motion carried. Respectively submitted Rachel Castillo Secretary
