Home My WebLink About09-26-1985 Board of Health MinutesBOARD OF HEALTH SEPTEMBER 26, 1985 Those attending Board of Health on Country Club were: Dr. Gary Abercrombie Womble, Dr. Mary Bublis, Weaver McClure, Truesdale, and secretary Jo Ann Baker. Dr. Abercrombie, Chairman, called the meeting to order. The minutes were accepted as written. Mr. Hooper moved to pay bills for the month of August. Mrs. Tilson second- ed. Motion carried. Mary Lou Truesdale presented the Fee Schedule. Mrs Tilson moved to adopt Fee Schedule as written and presented. Mr. Hooper seconded. Motion carried. Report from nominating committee which consist of Dr. Mary Bublis, chairman, Dr. Busby, and Weaver McClure, respectfully submits the following nominations. Dr. Gary Abercrombie, Chairman, Mr. Lanny Voss Vice -Chairman. James Belk moved to ac- cept nominations, Mrs. Tilson seconded. Motion carried. Dr. Lyons reported no serious problems with comminicable disease. The usual gastro enteritis, strep throats, vomiting and diarrhea, but nothing major. The full time nurse I vacancy have, been filled by Mrs. Joyce Ivie. We will try to train the new nurse before we go on to hire a part time nurse. Mary Lou Truesdale reported that she does have an inquiry on the part time position, but that she was not available until the 1st of January of 1986. She reported, through the end of August, the department had collected $8,896.66 in fees and about 600.00 collected for September. From September of 84 to September of 85, the department collected $9,513.60. She hopes that the fee schedule would increase collections by 40 to 50%. We are still short staffed, as Mrs. Ivie our new nurse is still in training. All of our programs have been busy. Mrs. Tilson volunteered her services to help with Immunization Clinic through the summer. Mrs. Tilson moved to adjourn to proceed with the appreciation dinner. Mr. McMclure seconded. Motion carried.
