Mrs. Truesdale brought up the letter we received from the South Plains
Health Provider, asking for support from the Board on their Grant. After a
lengthy discussion, Mrs. Tilson moved to table the issue. Mr. McClure seconded.

Dr. Lyons reported that the Department is running smoothly. The flu epidemic
seems to be over. One case of imported Hepatitis B, the usual background of Streps,
Gastroenteritis, but nothing major. Clinics have been well attended.
Mrs. Truesdale shared with the Board again the fact that we have received
contracts, from Hale Center and Abernathy, but Petersburg has not approved their
contract, so we are not offering Environmental Services to them. Mrs. Truesdale
also shared with the Board that Nona had. received a letter from Swan's Representa-
tives, questioning our authority to permit them or to require Manager's licenses.
She stated that we had resolved this problem in 1984 with the same attorney. Copies
of correspondence regarding the issue were sent to them. Everything else is running
smoothly. All clinics have been well attended.
Mrs. Truesdale reminded the Board that previous disussions regarding environ-
mental health service fees had included adding a fee for reinspections of Food
Establishments, both Food Service and Retail Food Stores, when routine inspections
were failed because of certain critical items or because of the overall condition
of the establishment. The Board had not taken any action on this discussion.
Mrs. Truesdale was asked the cost of such reinspection. She responded that based
on inspection cost of $12 an hour minimized insFection would cost $25.00. After
general discussion, Mrs. Tilson moved to add the reinspection fee. Mrs. Womble
seconded. Motion carried.
Excused absences were asked forLDr. Busby, Dr. Bublis, Mr. Voss, Mr. Hooper
and Mr. Belk. Mr. McClure moved approval. Mrs. Tilson seconded. Motion carried.
There was no opposition from the Board on meeting at Country Club throughout
this year.
