May 5, 1980
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Com-
mittee was called to order at 7:04 P.M., Monday, May 5, 1980,
in the Librarian's Office, by Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President. Pres-
ent were Malcolm Tisdel, David Willson, and Judy Smith, Librarian.
The minutes of the April 7, 1980, meeting were approved as pre-
sented. The Librarian's Report for April was presented.
The Committee discussed the book sale. Mrs. Igo will contact
Jerry George, Principal at Plainview High School, to ascertain
the possibility of having a school service club conduct the
book sale.
It was moved by Mr. Tisdel, seconded, and passed that the Com-
mittee write a letter to the Mayor requesting that he take ap-
propriate action to allow the continued association of Ruby Curry
with this and future Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committees.
The following names were suggested for possible appointment to
the Committee in July: Mrs. C.L. Jones (Maisie), Bob Horne,
Davis Horne, Luther Bain, Mrs. Bill Weaks (Wanda), Mrs. Donald
Moore (Phyllis), Mrs. Lee Coffey (Sunny), Mrs. John McDonough
(Barbara), Mrs. David Willson (Rochelle), Terry Northup, Bill
Rice, Bruce Dod, and Dan Kent. These names will be forwarded
to the Mayor for possible consideration.
The proposed budget for 1980-1981 was approved.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:15 P.M.
