HomeMy WebLinkAbout02-05-1979 Library Board MinutesUNGER MEMORIAL LIBRARY ADVISORY COMMITTEE February 5, 1979 The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee was called to order by Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President, at 7:35 P.M., Monday, February 5, 1979, in the Library Conference Room. Present were Ruby Curry, Susan LaFont, Malcolm Tisdel, Judy Smith, Librarian, Shari Campbell, and Gary McCormick. The minutes of the January 8, 1979, meeting were approved as presented. The Librarian's Report for January was presented. Mr. Tisdel moved that the amended Overdue Materials Policy be adopted. Mrs. LaFont seconded. Motion passed. (See attached.) Mr. Tisdel moved that after the locked book returns have been placed in the library, the following policy go into effect: Books which are not over -due and not to be renewed must be placed in the appropriate book return. All other materials must be cleared through the Circu- lation Desk. The Library will not be responsible for materials not properly returned. Mrs. LaFont seconded. Motion passed. Mrs. Igo and Mrs. LaFont will work on a slide production featuring library services and needs to be used for public relations. Miss Smith read a statement announcing the Library's intent to have the City Attorney file charges on adult patrons who refuse to return li- brary materials after due notice. The meeting wasadjourned at 8:10 P.M. Judy Smith, Secretary Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee
