Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee
July 5, 1977
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee was
called to order at 7 p.m. July 5, 1977, in the Librarian's Office by Mrs.
Merwyn Igo, President. Present were Ruby Curry, Malcolm Tisdel, and Mrs.
Henry Heck, President of the Friends of the Unger Memorial Library.
The minutes from the meeting of June 6, 1977, were approved as presented.
The Librarian's report for June was presented.
Mrs. Igo reported on the Committee's visit to the work session of the
City Council at which the Library's budget request for 1977-1978 was
presented.
The Committee then discussed the parking lot problem.
Mrs. Heck reported for the Friends of the Library. She stated that
sculpture had been ordered. She also urged that used books be brought to
the Library to be used for the Book Sale.
At the August meeting Miss Smith will report on the OCLC System and the
possibility of working out an agreement to share the OCLC terminal which
is now at Van Howling Library.
