April 7, 1975
The regular meeting of the Unger Memorial Library Advisory Committee was
called to order at 7:10 p.m., Monday, April 7, 1975, in the Library
Conference Room by Mrs. Merwyn Igo, President. Present were Curtis Jones,

library facilities for a ceramics class. Miss Smith read a letter from

to each participant, and her assurance of complying with Library policies.
After discussion the Committee agreed to make the library's facilities
available to Mrs. Krentz for a ceramics class during National Library Week,
April 13-19.

Policies be approved as presented.

will go out in the May mailing.

decided to drop the plans for a book review since neither Stanley Marcus
nor Jane Gilmore Rushing was available to come and there was not
sufficient time to secure another author for a review. The Friends of
the Library will sponsor Saturday -at -the -Library on Saturday April 19.
Coffee, punch and cookies will be served and films will be shown all
day. Miss Smith will make arrangements to have an article with a
picture on the new microfiche acquisitions and the microfiche readers.
Mrs. Curry will write an article on early library users. Miss Smith
will try to get a picture of the Mayor signing a National Library Week
proclamation.
The Committee then discussed the proposed Library budget for 1975-76.
Miss Smith will add footnotes to the budget figures and amplify the
justifications.
