RE: Line One article in Sunday, March 10th Plainview Herald
John Sigwald had already talked with John Castro about this matter.
John Castro said that he will talk with Carl Holland (supervisor of
janitorial staff). He indicated that written instructions spelling
out exactly what should be done in the Library janitorially would
possibly be in order. He also stated that with budget talks beginning
now, perhaps other alternatives could be explored so that the library
would receive better janitorial service. More on that at a later date.
John announced that Texas Library Association annual conference will
be held in APril in Houston_ He also announced that he has been
appointed to the Texas Bluebonnet Award Committee.
Joy Denton spoke of John's farsightedness --cemetery records on computer
locally, first in area with automated circulation and catalog; CD-ROM
reference center and other projects --and the manner in which that has
benefited the Unger Library.
