CITY COUNCIL MINUTES O0 102
The City Council of the City of Plainview met in regular session at 7:30 P.M. in
the City Council Chamber of the City Hall with Mayor Bob Wayland presiding and the
following Councilman present: Jeane Browning-Place One, Medlin Carpenter-Place Two,
Lloyd Woods-Place Three, Tom Almon-Place Four, Bill SoRelle-Place Five.
Also present were the following City Staff: John Hatchel-City Manager, Tom Hamilton-
City Attorney, Harold Gladman-Director of Planning, Bob Richards-Building Inspector,
Bill Hogge-Director of Public Works, Alan Stewart-Director of Police Services, Norman
Huggins-Director of Finance, Randy Holly-Adminstrative Assistant, and Sheryl Owen-
Deputy City Clerk.
Also present were the following visitors: Charles Bechtold, Chris Huggins, Kirk
Hess, Ryan Stewart, Ron Morris, Joe Moberley, and Brenda Holly.
Invocation was given by Mayor Bob Wayland.
It was moved by Alderman Woods, Seconded by Alderman Almon, to approve the minutes
of the Regular City Council~ Meeting held November 27, 1979 and the City Council
Work
Session
of
November 29, 1979 ~hich was cancelled. Motion carried unanimously.
Mayor made an a~pointment/ to Joe Berry to carry out an unexpired term for the
Parks, Recreation, and Open Space Advisory Committee.
It was moved by Alderman SoRelle, seconded by Alderman Almon to approve the first
reading and set public hearing on December 17, 1979 for Ordinance No. 79-2373 reclassifying
from R-1 (Single Family Residential) to R-3 (Multiple Family) property located at 809
Galveston. Request of Deborah Marie Smith. (Zone Case No. 428)
It was moved by Alderman Carpenter, seconded by Alderman Browning to approve the
Budget Expenditures.
It was moved by Alderman Woods, seconded by Browning to adjourn the meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 7:40 P.M.
