The Plainview City Council met on November 4, 2004 at 11:40 a.m. at the Plainview
Convention Center, 2902 West 4th Street. The agenda for this meeting was posted in
City Hall at 11:27 a.m. on November 1, 2004. Mayor John C. Anderson presided.
Councilmembers present were: Kelvin Tipton-District 1, Mary Jane Shanes-District 2,
Belinda Pena-District 3, Ron Trusler-District 5, and Roland Nash-Distdct 7.
Councilmembers absent were: John N. Bertsch-District 4 and Wendell Dunlap-District
6.
Staff members present were: Greg Ingham-City Manager, Wally Hatch-City Attorney,
John Castro-Director of Community Services, Dale Simpson-Director of Civil Service,
Will Mull-Police Chief, John Berry-Director of Public Works, Don Burress-Fire Dept
Training Officer and Belinda Hinojosa-City Secretary.
Media present were: Richard Orr-Plainview Daily Herald
Mayor Anderson delivered the invocation.
The Council granted an excused absence to Councilmember John N. Bertsch and
Councilmember Wendell Dunlap.
The Council and staff reviewed the agenda for the City Council meeting of November 9,
2004.
Jack Keller, Budget Manager provided the Quarterly Investment Report for the period
from July 1, 2004 through September 30, 2004. The beginning book value is
$17,779,202 and the ending book value is $17,920,127. The interest earned for this
period is $148,545.
There being no further business, Mayor Anderson adjourned the meeting at 12:00 p.m.
