AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE PARKING OF VEHICLES ALONG THE SOUTH SIDE OF
WEST TENTH STREET IN THE THREE HUNDRED BLOCK BETWEEN THE EAST BOUNDARY
LINE OF NORTH OOEUMBIA STREET AND A POINT LOCATED EIGHTY-TWO FEET DUE EAST
OF THE EAST BOUNDARY LINE EXTENDED OF COLUMBIA STREET, AND PROVIDING A
PENALTY.
WHEREAS, improvements are being made on Columbia Street at the inter-
section of Columbia and Tenth Street so as to make said street intersection
a safer street to cross and to provide for the safety of drivers of
vehicles and pedestrians;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW:
Section 1: Parking of vehicles along the South side of West Tenth
Street (in the City of Plainview, Texas) in the 300 block between the
East boundary line of Columbia Street and a point located eighty-two (82)
feet due East of the East boundary line line extended of Columbia Street
is hereby prohibited.
Section 2: No person shall park or cause to be parked a motor
vehicle, automobile, truck, truck tractor, or vehicle of any kind on that
part of the South side of West 10th Street (in the City of Plainview,
Texas) in the 300 block between the East boundary line of Columbia Street
and a point located eighty-two feet due East of the East boundary line
~ of Columbia Street.
Section 3: Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with any
of the provisions of this ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a mis-
demeanor and upon convicti6n~thereof shall be punished by a fine in a sum
of not less than One Dollar ($1.00) and not more than Two Hundred Dollars
($200.00)
