The City 0ouncil reconvened a recessed regular meeting With
the ii.yet, Tom ahelton, presiding, and Alderman C. H. H~ncoek,
E, ~., Osborne and Le No Eiker and Gity Attorney Dan ~. Cook pre-
sent, when tile following business was transacted, to-wit;

new ~d used automobiles, t~acto~s, trailers, implements ~d
machines, to remove ~ch merchandise from their parki~ lots
and warerooms and pa~k..~d leave them on certain streets of -
the City ef Pla~view, thereby een~ibuti~ to traffic ~con-
gestion and causing additional hazards to the safety of the
pubti~;
THEEEPORE, Be it ordained by the City Council of the
~m ~,y of Plainview, Texas:
Section l~ That hereafter it shall be unlawful for .any
person, firm or corporation, engaged in the sale of new and/or
used a~tomobiles, tractors, implements or machinery, to park
and leave StmS~tdin~ upon the streets, and parts of streets,
named and designated in Section 2 hereof, any new or used auto-
mobile, trac~$or, trailer, implement er machine, when such new
or used automobile, tractor, trailer, implement or mac~hine is
a part er item ef stock in trade of such person, firm er cor-
poration, engaged in the sale of such merchs~dise; provided,
tha$ it shall not be unlawful for az~ such person, firm ~roeer-
potation to park a~d leave standing in the prohibited areas
any new or used automobile, tractor,, trailer, implement or
machine, for a time not to exceed thirty (30) minutes.
Section 2. That such parkiz~ Jcl new and ~sed automo-
biles, t~cto=s, trailers, implements and machines, when same
are items ~nd parts of st6ck in trade, shall be uniawful when
parked by any person, firm er corporation, upon the following
streets, and Darts of streets, in the City of Plainview, to-wit:
0n Broadway Street from Eleventh Street to Fourth Street;
On Ash Street from Tenth Street ti Fourth ~treet;
~ Austin Street from Ninth Street~Fourth Street;
On ~our~h Street from Ash ~t.reet to iustin Street;

On SiXth Street from Beech Street to Columbia Strdet;
