attended the meeting also.

the City purchase certain lots in the city of Plminview, Texas, which

SEOTION 1. Al! policemen in the City of plainview, TeXas, in
th~ em:e~¢ise of a sound discretion, may arrest without a warrant
~herefor, any person or persons found in~ suspicious places, or any
person or persons found under circumstances reasonably t~ending to
shew that much person or persons have been guilty of ~some felony or
breac~i of the peace, or violation of some municipal ordinance, or
about to commit some offence against some ~tate law or some munici-
pal ordinauce.
~CTION g. The fact^the Btate law authorizes this ,ordinance,
and ~the ~act that there are many tranmients in and about the City
of Pls~inview. ~d the further fact that the policemen are net pro-
tecte~, by law a~ainst muir's for arre~sts of person~ herein defined,
creates an emergency, requiring that thi~ ordinance become effective
upon passage.

the City increase its annual contribution for the High School Band
for the ensuing year'to Two Thousand D~ilars ($2,0D0,00~, provided
the ~chool Board contributes a like amount, 'for Dlmector's Salary,
Uniforms and Instr~unents for the High ~Scheol Band. The motion car-
ried ~d it was no ordered.
