The mo- tion was carried and it was so ordered. Notion by Alderman Frogge, seconded by Alderman Malone, that the Electrician's Bonds of J.P.McCauley and R,T.Ellerd be approved and accepted. The motion was carried~and it was so ordered. The Mayor appointed P.H.Bryan, Frank R.Day and Ben F.Smith, as a committee to investigate and formulate a scale of charges for "extra garbage service" and to report back to the City Council at its next regular meeting. Motion by Alderman Osborne, seconded by Alderman Hancock, that the salary of A.L.King be increased $1~.00 per month, also, the salaries of 0.B.Guin and J.PoMarlin, be increased $10.00 each per month. Also, that A.M.Hamilton be given a $100.00 bonus for using his car in making electrical inspections. The motion was carried and it was so ordered. Ernest Tibbets, county Judge, C.G.Howard; Commissioner Prec., No. 1 R.E.Wilson, Commissioner Prec., No~'2, J.L.Mann, Commissioner Pr~c.,-No.~,and J.B.Smith, Commissioner Prec., No~ 4; and FrankR.Day, City Attorney, E.M.Osborne, Councilman, W.C.Malone, Coun~cilman, L.M.Frogge, Councilman, and Ben F. Smith, Councilman,; and among other things, th~ following business matters were transacted, to wit: Upon motion made by Alderman E~M.Osborne, and seconded by Commissioner C.G.Howard, it was agreed by a unanimaus vote of said Governing Bodies, that the City of Plainview, Texas, adver- tise for competitive bids for the extension of water and sewer lines, from the City of Plainview, to the Eale County Airport; and that Ben Williams, the County~Engineer~ shall proceed at once with. the matter'Of furnishing data, gigures, plans and specifications to the City CounCil to the end that it may at an early date, adver- tise for such competitive bids. Resolution No. 507 ?JI{EREAS, the City of Plainview, Texas, is the owner of Lots ~No's. 29, 30, 31, and 32, in Block No. 7, Frisco Addition to ~the the town of lalnvlew, Hale CountY,~"Texas; and WI~P~$, said above described lo~s are located in and are a part of..~an-addition or plot now being used by a Mexican Settlement; and WtiEREAS, the Catholic Church desires to foster, promote and con- struct a church building and schoolhouse on the above described lots for the use and benefit of the Mexican settlement, and that the Most Reverand Bishop of Amarillo Diocese, Laurence Fitz Simon, and his suc- cessors in office, has agreed to accept ~itle to the four above de- scril0ed lots for such purpose, if the same is conveyed to him and his successors in office by the ~ity of Plainview, Texas. NOW, Ti~REFORE, BE IT .RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW, TEXAS, in regular session, this 16th day of JULY, A.D. 19~5, that Lots Nos. 29, 30, 31, and 32, in Block No. 7, Frisco Addition to the town of Plainview, Hale ~C~unty, .?Texas, be conveyed to the Most Reverend Bishop of Amarillo Diocese, Laurence Fitz Simon and his suc- cessors in office, and that Mayor J;N.Jordan be and he is hereby au- thorized and directed to execute a deed to the Most Reverend Bishop of A~aarill~ Diocese, Laurence Fitz Simon and his successors in office, which shall be duly attested by the City Secretary under the seal of ~Bid City, and that said deed be delivered to said Bishop for accept- aBC e ..
