he has agreed to give the City and easement across his said land for
the pm~zrpose of opening, reconstruction and dedication of s~id extended
street.
The J~'iayor put the question as to whether the City' of Pla. inview
should accept thee said land, extend 14th Street a~d dedicate such
extension to the public, whereupon E, ]bi. Osborne made a motion that
such land should be accepted, extended and dedicated to the use of
the public for street purposes for a distance of &65.5 am.d upon second
to such motion by l~, .~. Y~iker, and unani~ous vote in the af£~rmative
'by all of the other memberz of the ~,~ Council the mayor thereupon
pr%cl~i.med such street duly opened and dedicated to the used of the
public for street purpose2 b~ unanimous consent of the 0ity CounCil
of the City of Plainview, Texas,
To attest which such action wi~ness the hand of the mayor and
secre~ary, this the 3rd. day of June, 1940.

residences on the l~nd here excepted creates ~n emergency which requires
the suspension of the rule of passage off ordin~tnces on third reading
and this ordinance shall becom~e ef£ective on first reading and passage.
