NOW, TP~REFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY T~ CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAIi~-IEW, TEtdAS: SECTION 1. That the T part of the alley in said Block No.35, College ~ill Addition to the Town of Plainview, ~ale Goumty, Texas, running East and West across said block, serves no~E~lpurpose and is not now being used by the City of Plainview, nor is it being used by the Property Owners in said Blaock and should be in all things closed. IT~IS, THEREFORE, 0RDE~E~ by the City Council of the City of Plainview, Texas, that the T part of said alley runnisg East and West in said Bl~ok be and the same is in all things closed and that the al- leyway heretofore dedicated to the City of Pla~n~iew, Texas, for public use, is renounced and abandoned by the City of Plainview, Texas and by the ~ublic.gene~ally as a passageway and that the part of the alley here abandoned shall re~e~t hack to the adjoikuing property owners in e- qual portions, an.d~he City Council does bereby quitclaim and release any and all interest that it may have in and to said alleyway except that it reserves the right to go in and upon ~aid alleyway and to repair or to remove any sewer line or other public service lines now laid in said alleyway. Hope Owen, pastor~ o~ the First ~ptist ~Chn~ch, to lead ~the body .in¥~a ~paryer~ for Di~ine~ g~idance in the deliberations of the Council, after which the follwing order to canvass the returns of the city election held on April 2nd. was entered.
