THE 700 BLOCK OF AUSTIN STREET; PROVIDING FOR PARALLEL PARKING
ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE 800 BLOCK OF AUSTIN STREET; PROVIDING
A PENALTY. ~
Whereas, after consideration, the City Council of the City of
Plainview finds that in the interest of traffic safety, it is
advisable to replace angle parking with parallel parking in the
700 and 800 blocks of Austin Street;
NOW, THEREFORE,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLAINVIEW:
SECTION 1: Ail motor vehicles parking on either side of
Austin Street in the 700 block shall park parallel to the adjacent
.curb.
SECTION 2: Ail motor vehicles parking on either side of
Austin Street in the 800 block shall park parallel to the adjacent
curb.
SECTION 3:_ Any person who shall violate or fail to comply with
the provisions of this Ordinance shall be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor,
and upon conviction thereof shall be punsihed by a fine in the sum of not
'less than One Dollar ($1.00), nor more than Two Hundred Dollars ($200.00).
